QR Codes
QR-Codes originated from Japan and have only recently began to become popular and catch on within the Middle East, Europe and the United States. Traditional barcodes that you see on products in stores are extremely beneficial with their reading speed, and accuracy. However, as barcodes reached their peak and began getting used worldwide, it was apparent that the need for more data was inevitable. Developers began to expand on the amount of bars the barcodes used. There was a great need for smaller barcodes also which caused further problems. With lots of factors included and the demand for expansion, the 2D barcode was then born. The 2D Barcode( QR Code ) also known as Quick Response Code.

How QR Codes Work
Almost ever mobile phone has a digital camera. The camera, along with decoding software( QR Reader )is used to take a picture of the QR-Code. The QR-Code software (reader), decodes and then gives the mobile phone an action to perform:
- Dial a telephone number
- Connect to a web site
- Download Media such as MP3/Video
- Opens email client with address already inserted
- Lists data such as, name, address, email, business, contact details
This all takes place within milliseconds. The transformation feels very fast.
